As I told There are 3 Types of Unions You can Join the one You like by Going in Hearth Hall and Talk to All NPC And Then come down left Corner and Select a Union By Talking to Gianno and then Click Board to Select You Harvest Union.

By Talking to Different NPC You will get Quests

There are 6 Different Quests By Completing These You will learn the Basics.

You can Complete these Quests by Following the Instructions by NPC .

How To Deposit and Sobotage Others :

Suppose you Selected Wild Groves Union Now By Doing Task board You will get Yield Stones Not Only Verdant But for all 3 Unions .

You can Just Simply put All Tiers of Verdant in The Wild Groves Hearth .

Just Like this All Flints in Seed Wrights Hearth.

All Hollow Stones in Reapers Hearth.

So If You are Wild Grove You will get points for Depositing Verdant Stones And If you Put Hollow and Flint in The Hearths they will be sabotaged there Hearth Health Will get lower. The Union Who's Hearths Health Gets 100% First Will Win And They will Achieve 70% of Prize Pool. Which will then be divided Among Participates .
