PART 1
For the sketch, I took as reference the classic posture of sorceresses seen in anime. As well as finding a way to have clean lines in the image and putting on clothes that are comfortable to design.
Para el boceto tome como referencia la postura clásica de las hechiceras que se ven en unos animes. Así como buscar la manera de tener líneas limpias en la imagen y poner vestimentas que sean cómodas de diseñar.
PART 2
The base colors are from the palette that I usually use, although this time I focus on purple tones. Despite the variety of purple tones, we must understand that we must separate those that we will use as light and shadow. Although one option which is complicated is to use colors with transparency, which I used a lot in this drawing, but it requires a little practice to implement.
Los colores base son de la paleta que suelo usar, aunque en esta ocasión me enfoco en tonalidades púrpuras, A pesar la variedad de tonos morados, debemos de comprender que hay que separar por los que usaremos como luz y sombra. Aunque una opción la cual es complicada es usar colores con transparencia, lo cual use mucho en este dibujo, pero requiere un poco de práctica para implementarlo.
PART 3
For lighting we can propose 2 options, make the garments look like synthetic fabric, or use lower brightness tones, depending on the drawing we must choose one or both.
Para la iluminación podemos plantear 2 opciones, hacer que las prendas luzcan como tela sintética, o usar tonos más bajos de brillo, depende el dibujo debemos escoger un o los 2.
PART 4
Shadows in a drawing can considerably improve any type of image, although we must accept that the shadows will sometimes take up a good part of the drawing, but that is okay and it is something that we must get used to.
Las sombras en un dibujo pueden mejorar considerablemente cualquier tipo de imagen, aunque debemos aceptar que las sombras a veces ocuparan buena parte del dibujo, pero está bien y es algo que debemos de acostumbrarnos.
PART 5
Finally I reviewed several details on the character, as well as adding a magician's staff and a background similar to the one on the card itself. Always remember to add your watermark or a signature to your work.
Por último revisé varios detalles en el personaje, así como agregar un báculo de mago y un fondo parecido al que tiene la propia carta. Recuerden siempre agregar su marca de agua o una firma para sus trabajos.
