Introducing My Hive Punks

A New Community

I'm so grateful to be a part of the community and am looking forward to seeing all the different holders.

I've always been fascinated by the way that NFTs seem to form these super tight-knit and close communities. I never minted any NFTS before though so the whole world was just outside my prereferral vision until this came along.

I began my hive journey by opening a splinterlands account. At first, that was all I was focusing on but then I began to get involved with the discord community in Splinterlands. I realised that everyone was super friendly and willing to help. Which was incredible. Through my time there I made some friends and one of them invited me to their discord server and got me involved in their projects.

One day I wake up and logged in to discord to find a link that had been posted by him sharing the Hive Punk mint website. He kept stressing just how big it was going to be. Sceptical about the whole thing, and having not done my own research, I decided to only mint one.

BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE

Better Late Than Never Though

I minted my hive punk and was really happy with it surprisingly. I didn't get the rarest punk but I didn't get a floor punk so that's a win in my opinion. The floor price had doubled since mint so I fomod into buying another one. Now I'm sitting on my 2 punks and waiting to see what happens since it's all so new to me. I am also really looking forward to seeing what utility the punks can bring.

I began seeing people make posts sharing their punks and wanted to get in on the action but I've been so busy that I haven't had time to really sit down and get to work. But I'm here now and I'm planning to stick around as part of this amazing community.

Current situation

Thanks to my first NFT mint in the hive punks it has set me down a path of exploring more NFTs and really learning about the space. I have made friends, minted a few more projects and loved every mint.

Welcome to Hive!

With the minting you actually have me beat by one punk. So yeah, it was tough trying to build a collection and I couldn't afford the crazy prices for rares, but I caught a few good deals and I didn't get hit by the avalanche of baldies that most ended up with.

Anyways, if you ever want to buy sell or trade let me know, because most of mine are off the market, so no whales can do a mass buy and clean me out.

that's a smart move man, I'm actually gonna be holding onto mine too. don't really want anyone to scoop them up.

It is really hard to know what is going to be good or not in the NFT space but the moment I saw how quickly these things were minting I estimated they would sell out in less than a few days. It took only about a day and a half for them to completely sell all 10K of course. This buyer demand meant that there would of course be some people who wanted to buy after market for higher prices and of course this has been the case! Most expensive ones sold for around $24,000 each.
