Did Modern Format Get Easier?
In this video, I discuss how this past season was the first time since the introduction of Modern Format back in summer of 2022 that I was able to reach Champion in Modern Format. I know there is a lot of attention going towards Survival Mode since it launched so that may be the main culprit behind why competition is significantly thinner.
I've heard similar stories from other players as well which makes things interesting. My going theory is that due to the opportunity presented by Survival Mode, many top players will make champion in Modern and then use their cards over in Survival Mode for a bit, meaning that Diamond level players are playing against each other rather than coming up against top tier champion players more frequently.
What will be interesting to watch is if this trend continues into this season as we have seen earnings start to normalize over in Survival Mode. With Conclave Arcana right around the corner, we're in for yet another shake up as well.

Less competitive decks by players that rent cards due to the effect of season rentals may have resulted for modern format becoming easier to play. I even saw accounts that only play with only rare cl summoners who would previously rent for tofu and other key rebellion cards.
great video, keep them coming my man
