Five thousand sounds like total sign-ups, only 229 actually bought spellbooks...

I guess that is actually not bad. When I hear 5000 new accounts joined I am thinking 5000 new players with spellbooks :)
But 4.6% conversion rate is great:

A good conversion rate in gaming is generally considered to be between 2% and 5%, with 5% often seen as an excellent benchmark for a healthy game.

While 1-2% is considered average for many games, a conversion rate of 3-6% is typical for successful free-to-play titles.

Some highly successful games, particularly those in niche markets or with strong player engagement, can achieve conversion rates of 10% or higher.

5k accounts too looks to much for me maybe that are lite accounts without spellbooks, but still is good number
