Weekly Battle Challenge Featuring MYCELIC MORPHOID

Hello Splinterlands Community!
Hope everyone is doing well.
It is this time of the week when we post about - SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge and the card for the week is MYCELIC MORPHOID.

ABOUT THE CARD :
So, before we move onto some battle and strategy with the card, let's take a look at the card.

Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: COMMON
Element: EARTH
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: THORNS

Now, let's check out the stats of the card.

Mycelic Morphoid is a 1 mana card from the Earth splinter that has 1 melee damage, 1 speed and 2 HP at the lowest level.
The card becomes very useful at level 3 and above with the THORNS ability.
At the highest level the card has 2 melee damage, 3 speed and 3 HP.
So, it is not a mere 1 mana meat shield if used properly.
For the battle we are going to talk about, I am only using a level 1 Mycelic Morphoid.

Rule set :
Silenced Summoners: Summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities.

THE LINE UP :

For our summoner we went for a level 2 Quix The Devious.
Since the rule set is Silenced Summoners, we do not get the de buffs from the summoner for the battle.

At position one, we have our card of the week, a level 1 Mycelic Morphoid which is giving us a meat shield of 2 hp at the cost of 1 mana for our low mana battle as we plan to attack from the back line.

At position two, we have went with a level 1 Void Dragon. At this level the card comes with 1 magic damage and 7 hp. The card works surprisingly well as a tank/off tank with Void and Flying abilities for mana cost of only 5.

In the next position we have a gold foil level 2 Uraeus.
This is a card I use quite often. It comes with 2 melee damage, 2 hp, 1 shield, 2 speed and most importantly Sneak ability.

At position 4, we have a level 1 Khmer Princess.
The card comes with 1 magic damage, 2 hp and has a speed of 1 but the card only costs 2 mana. Unfortunately, I do not own this card and only using it from the starter deck.

At the last position, we have a gold foil level 2 Djinn Biljka, my only gold foil legendary card. It has 2 magic damage, 2 hp, 1 speed. It also has Camouflage and Void at level 2.

THE HIGHLIGHTS :

Round 1:

In the first round, our Mycelic Morphoid gets taken out by the Djinn Chwala. And in the next turn our Uraeus takes eliminates the Albatross.

Round 2:

Our team continues to dominate in round two as Uraeus takes out the Ice Pixie from the enemy back line.

Round 3:

The Djinn Chwala from the opponent tries to fight back even in round 3 as it lands a first hit on our Void Dragon and the Merdaali Guardian continues to heal Djinn Chwala.

Round 4:

In round 4, our Uraeus gets another kill as it takes out the Merdaali Guardian and soon the battle was over as Khmer Princess drains out the last hp with her magic damage.

DID MY STRATEGY WORK?
Yes, my strategy turned out to work very well as the plan was to attack from the back line while the Mycelic Morphoid and Void Dragon protects the damage dealers.
Uraeus and Void Dragon turn out to be the star of the battle with Uraeus getting 3 kills and Void Dragon was almost untouchable with it's high speed and FLYING ability.
Mycelic Morphoid too did it's job by absorbing 1 important hit from the Djinn Chwala.

Do I like the MYCELIC MORPHOID? Why or why not?
Since, I do not have a leveled up Earth deck and do not play the Earth splinter much, I have not got a chance to play Mycelic Morphoid much to be the best judge of the card.
For the battles I had used the card, I used it to add a meat shield at the front for only 1 mana cost. The card adds more utility at level 3 and above with the THORNS ability and my plan is to get a Gold foil version of the card rather than a normal level 3 version so that I can use it for added DEC bonus.
