Well, I'm not old enough to tell you about those super cards that are rarely talked about but are the best at what they do. Well, in Splinterlands, a card's performance depends on its Archon and even more so on its main player because our unique strategies create the environment for the cards to perform their best. Initially, I wouldn't have been able to explore much by playing with basic-level one cards. Still, thanks to Mr. @bravetofu, I also have several higher-level cards, and my Splinterlands experience is going much better than expected. I selected two of these cards for this challenge after testing its performance across several battles.

sea dog of eight.png

The first of these is Sea Dog of Eight. It's a water element card, and I have a level 4 card of it. If I have the freedom to add a water archon to the battlefield, this Sea Dog is the first card in my line-up. The most important thing to be at the top of the line-up is health, and it has a good amount of that, along with armour. Furthermore, its Corrosive Ward ability deals -2 armour retaliatory damage to melee attackers, strengthening your defence.

Furthermore, it's also an attacker and has good attack power, making it doubly powerful, capable of not only attacking and damaging enemies, but also taking retaliatory action against enemy attacks to inflict damage. And in addition to all these features, this card also has the Heal ability, which helps it restore 1/3 of its maximum health each round. These features sound impressive enough, but you'll only see how this card performs on the Battlegrounds when you use it for the first time.

Also in the game, we have different rulesets and abilities that we get with different cards. Some rulesets are good, and I am more familiar with those rulesets, but I still match with different rulesets. Sometimes I win in those rulesets, but sometimes I also lose. Similarly, some cards I am more familiar with are some of the cards that I often use for battles.

tidal tsunamist.png

Upon landing in the ocean, you'll first encounter Sea Dog, followed by a deeper encounter with Tidal Tsunamist. I position this card sometimes in the second, sometimes in the third, or fourth spot in the line-up. Its placement also depends on whether I have another good card with the reach ability. Since this card has the Sneak ability, it can perform melee attacks from anywhere in the line-up. I don't know about its anti-conditions yet, but from what I've experienced, this card has performed almost always in the battlegrounds.

Additionally, its repair ability gives the entire team's armourers +2. Besides its abilities, I also really like its stats, as its health is good for its 5 mana cost, along with its melee attack power. Its speed gives it the advantage of being able to perform its strong attack first, which I believe is a crucial stat for gaining an edge in the game. Overall, both of these Water element cards are impressive, and based on the rulesets and battle conditions I've seen so far, they're no less than heroes.

These types of challenges and contests are good for community engagement and also to improve as a player, so I like participating. I have the game knowledge, but I am trying to learn more and more so that I can improve my overall game and play well on the splinterlands battleground. Its going to be a journey, and its just the start.

This is my little game knowledge. I may be wrong, and in that case, I will be happy to learn from you. Thank you! :)
