My recent exploration of WAX.

Recently I acquired my first bundle of WAX tokens. I have been eyeballing the WAX blockchain for a while now. I've heard rumblings that WAX is a great blockchain for nfts in general. Word on the street was that there are really good collectibles/nft markets on WAX.

Today in the #pizza server, I won a free WAX nft. The challenge was to be the first to remove key words from a claim link URL. The words were "garlic" "shrimp" and "pizza". Special thanks to @CmmndrBawang for giving away several nfts.

I've just begun exploring the Nft creation system for WAX. It seems a bit strict compared to the Hive blockchain. It's sort of like if Nftshowroom ran the entire nft system for Hive. I pictured WAX more like opensea for ETH where anything goes. It's not like that at all.

The good thing is that WAX seems like it's wildly popular. They have ads for major brands on WAX like Hotwheels and Miss Universe. A lot of Hive users seem to be on the Wax blockchain.

Above are the 1 month and 3 month chart for WAX tokens. You can see I bought at a pretty weird time. Some people would probably call me stupid for buying on such a large spike ... others would say "welcome aboard! Enjoy the coming breakout!" To be fair, one of the major reason I invested in WAX was to begin interacting with their Nft ecosystem.

If WAX has a major moon in the future, I wouldn't be too shocked. That being said I need to do more research and exploration. I am going to attempt to become Whitelisted. Then I will mint my first Nft on the WAX blockchain! Hopefully it was a good investment long term.
